Back from Australia .. sorry I didn't post the links to the last two shows, which Mr. Felty did by himself. I did a second volume of my James Brown series last night, this time focusing on the 1970s sound. Even for die-hard fans, there are some true rarities mixed in. Hope you enjoy.

YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Welcome back from the rollercoaster ride Pari! It must have been nerve-wrecking to have such a situation on your hands...

I hope she recovers well...

Thanks for the gret selection...

To all the JB lovers on the forum, don't miss this one, as you would have to fork out a good roll of $ to be able to secure some of the rare 45's on this one. Talking about The Devils, The Last Word or Johnny Scotton to name but a few!!!

Thanks a lot!

Glad y'all like it.
No, I didn't speed up "The Payback". I played the 45 mix, which is slightly different (and includes a voice talk over).

Marva is doing a lot better, thanks for the good wishes!

Already?????????????????????????????????????
Damn I haven't found time to download the previous show yet! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
I have been abroad with a slow connection, so I really need to sit my ass down and take time for this!
Thanks for a great selection... Ooooh I know I haven't spun that Lowrell track for some time, same goes for the Ingram tune on H&L... that's another incentive for me to get the whole thang!

THANKS AGAIN!

I'm sure this will be an enlightening experience as although I know Willie Tee and I do have a few of his recordings and many where he played for other artists, I am (by no mean) not an expert on the subject!

Here the download of DJ Romanowski's Funk mix from last week's show ... The recording was screwed up and got only the second half of his mix. For that reason, we decided to just upload his original mix without our own sets around it.

Yes Pari but there's jazz and then there's jazz LOL hahahahahaha
And sometimes one of them is not really my cup of tea... I don't know why but when it becomes a little esoteric if you know what I mean, experimental, or if there's a dose of free jazz, I am having trouble getting into it.
In fewer words, I gotta have some groove in my jazz for me to get into it.

I agree. I'm not a big fan of avantgarde either. I LOVE Trane, but anything after A Love Supreme isn't my cup of tea.
