Disco music is not for ITJG.
Period of funk music for him : 1964-1974, sometimes, 1975 max.

I used to think that way, but lately I've gotten into some funky Disco as well ...

C'est de la provoc Tarek ne réponds pas. Attends que Jean vienne leur faire la leçon!

Don't even answer bro' Tarek! It's just provocation!!!!! Wait until Jean comes along and schools them!

Does that make any sense?

congrats for your french !

we're saying the same thing brother Pari, there's loads of junk and some great rhythms and melodies

"terrible" in french is "terrific" in english

"terrible" in english is "mauvais" (bad) in french

I was a wild party animal in the late '70ies and started buying lots of those disco 8", but never heard before most of the tracks you're sharing.

Right, they're all made of the of the same stuff, a good groove not bent by producers upon that era gimmicks that make most of the disco hits funny and hard to consider as musical; which is the main trend of listener's answer when you evoke the term Disco.

I thought we had 7" singles, LP"s, even 78 rpm but 8"???????????????
Unless you're mixing this up with CD's???????? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL  :5badair:

Download for last night's show is up! I have to say, I really love his job, but last night was something else. The Curtom sound is very special to me, and while I played the show, I learned that many people feel the same. I got bombarded with messages and calls from listeners througout the entire show who were, like me, high from the positive vibe of the Curtom sound ...
I hope you'll feel the same way .. this is a keeper for sure. Hell, I'm gonna burn it on CD myself.

Oooooooooops looking at that post, I realize that I skipped the one from last week and let it pass me by!
So I'll double my pleasure (thanks to Leon Haywood for the tip!) tonight by downloading both shows!
There's a lot of stuff on the last one where I haven't even heard the names to start with, so it promises to be quite an experience!
