Et le comment de DVD fanatic
Personally, if I want to see someone play some ridiculous slap bass, I will go see Victor Wooten. This is not to discredit Freekbass; he is definitely solid, and can anchor some serious funk pockets. As good as he is, you don't buy this DVD for virtuoso bass playing, the music is more than just that as the band mixes classic funk riffs with Buckethead metal licks, turntables and heavy rock without making you think of dreaded ‘90s "rap metal" bands like Lincoln Park or Limp Bizkit. The DVD is currently retailing for $18 at Leeway's HomeGrown Music Network, an excellent indie label and distributor out of North Carolina. While it's certainly not for everyone, if you like funk you will want to check out Freekbass and his band.
We bring you the real deal

Ouais enfin comme on en a déjà parlé Victor Wooten (son dernier opus mis à part), c'est trop technique pour la technique, tandis que Freekbass n'est peut-être pas le plus rapide au monde sur les triple croches mais putain il groove sévèrte...
Allow me to disagree with the comment posted above! If I may like Victor Wooten's last album (most of all because of the guest stars who come over to help him keep up the groove) I would't pay to see him live as much a bass freak as I am because I consider his style too flashy for my taste. I'd rather see one who can still slap but handle and create a solid groove, like Bootsy, Marcus and the like...
I have thoroughly enjoyed this Freekbass video and I love his bass sound... period!

Je pense que vous parlez de ça.
I think you are writing about this :
Freekbass - A Sliver of Shiver DVD
A Sliver of Shiver captures the energy of Freekbass LIVE from "Bootsy's Fall Ball" with Josh Knarr on guitar and Chip Wilson on drums. The legendary Bootsy Collins emcees the event, which concludes with an impromptu jam featuring Bootsy, Freekbass, Buckethead on guitar, and Animal Crackers on turntables. The DVD also includes over 40 minutes of extras including Freekbass live with Bernie Worrell, "Reds Fan" music video for The Cincinnati Reds, bootleg footage from The Howling Wolf in SD, plus much more.
"Bootsy Collins protégé Freekbass delivers a full-frontal funk experience loaded with more fuzzed-out snapping, slapping, and popping than a kettle full of Rice Krispies." - Jimmy Leslie, Bass Player Magazine
Feature length: 52 minutes, 53 seconds; Extras length: 41 minutes, 52 seconds
Released June 5, 2007
18$
Disponible --> ici<-- Available here.
Wonder avait donné un lien sur You Tube, où l'on voyait un extrait, il me semble : c'était terribel !/ I think, Wonder B had pointed a link on You Tube where one could see an excerpt form this DVD : awesome !

Well, Doumba if you're still up to order the Dvd and come around, be my guest
I'm wondering why WB is not disturbed by the presence of Buckethead, who is one of the ingredients of his Laswell allergia...
The bass must be awesome on this material.
Too bad Funk to the Max does not distributes the Dvd as other Freekbass releases...
